2025 Presidential Inauguration Information

President-elect Trump will be sworn into office on Monday, January 20th at noon. Gates open to ticketed guests at 9AM. All guests are required to go through airport style security and lines are lengthy. Plan accordingly. Following the president’s speech, the inaugural parade will take place on Pennsylvania Avenue beginning at the Capitol and ending at the White House. More details will be posted on the Congressman’s website as they are provided to our office.

Security is extremely tight. Roads will be closed for short and long periods of time causing disruptions in normal travel so allot more time than normal for getting around in DC. All ticketed guests will be required to go through airport style security. Lines will be long. Additionally, the list of permitted items is far shorter than prohibited items. A full list of prohibited items and security road closures will be made available by the Secret Service closer to the event date. That will be posted on www.downing.house.gov and provided to you at ticket pickup. For planning purposes, weapons, utility knives, folding chairs, strollers, bags/backpacks, umbrellas, and cameras with telescopic lenses are never permitted at USSS events. Food has also not been allowed in years past.
